The Degree in Social Welfare program offered through KOSIN University (South Korea) in collaboration with Pulse Academy, provides Sri Lankan students the opportunity to pursue a globally recognized qualification in caregiving, social services, and community support with a clear path to employment and residency in Korea.
This program is designed for those who have completed NVQ Level 3 or Level 4 and wish to take their next step toward an international career in the healthcare and social welfare sector.
Career/Employment opportunities:
After completing the Degree in social welfare field, the graduates are eligible for;
- Post-graduation qualifications: Level 2 Social Worker, Health and Family Worker
- After graduation, training and qualification examinations are required to obtain: Level 1 Social Worker, Mental Health Social Worker, Medical Social Worker, School Social Worker, Social Research Analyst, etc.
Employment fields:
- Social welfare-related specialized institutions and facilities, such as comprehensive social welfare centers, welfare centers for each target group (children, youth, the disabled, the elderly, etc.), mental health institutions, counseling institutions, and welfare centers.
- Family Center, Damuhwa Family Support Center, Volunteer Center
- Social welfare specialist (engaged in social welfare-related work at district and community offices)

Requirements
- Completion of NVQ Level 3 or NVQ Level 4 in Caregiving or Nursing Assistance, or an equivalent qualification.
- Age: Between 18-26 years.
- Education: Up to G.C.E. (Advanced Level) / If you have not attended school after your G.C.E. (O/L), still you can apply if you possess a NVQ Level 4 qualification with your G.C.E. (O/L) results.
- Language: No specific requirement but if you have an English (IELTS) or Korean (TOPIK) language qualifications will be receiving100% scholarship.
- Other requirements: Medical fitness and a genuine interest in the caregiving or welfare field.
